About

Who We Are and Who is Crickett
Hi everyone, and thank you for taking the time to read about Cricket!
On October 6th, one of our neighbors found a beautiful husky running in and out of traffic. She was able to get her safely into her car and immediately posted on multiple lost-pet pages and notified the local shelter. No one came forward to claim her.
Our neighbor could only keep her for a short time, so we took Cricket in while continuing the search for her owners. After a couple of weeks, it became clear that no one was looking for her. We started making plans to foster and eventually rehome her responsibly. We scheduled her vaccinations, arranged for her to be spayed, got her microchipped, and bought her a proper leash and supplies.
A friend watched her for two weeks while we were out of town. When we returned to take her to her spay appointment, we discovered she was pregnant—likely from around the time she was first found. We immediately took her to our trusted vet, where she received an exam, X-ray, heartworm test, nail trim, and other essential care. The vet confirmed she is expecting at least seven puppies.
We are not looking to make money from Cricket or her puppies. We don’t even know what breed the father is. Our only goal is to make sure every puppy receives proper veterinary care, is healthy, weaned, and fully ready before going to a loving home.
As Cricket’s due date approached, unexpected complications arose. She was in labor for nearly 12 hours, and when it became clear that she was struggling, we rushed her to the emergency veterinary hospital. After evaluation, the veterinary team determined that one of the puppies was stuck and that a natural birth was no longer a safe option. To save Cricket and her puppies, an emergency C-section was required.
While we are incredibly grateful that Cricket and her puppies survived, this emergency came with significant, unplanned expenses. These are expenses we were not prepared for, but we would make the same decision again to ensure their safety.

The Puppies
Meet The Puppies
Our puppies are raised with care and attention. We currently have two boys and four girls available.
At this time, we are asking for a $300 adoption fee to help cover the veterinary costs we have incurred.
Green

Green is a very active little boy who always finds ways to escape his pen when he can. He absolutely LOVES toys and enjoys snugging in blankets. He’s full of energy and will keep you on your toes, but his playful spirit makes him so much fun to be around.

Yellow
Yellow is one of the largest puppies and the chilliest of them all, he has a surprisingly chill personality for a boy. He loves cuddling and playing with toys that crinkle. Calm and easygoing, he’s the perfect snuggle buddy after a day of gentle play.
Purple

Purple is a sassy little girl with a strong personality. She enjoys playing with toys but also loves curling up in your arms for snuggles. Her mix of playfulness and affection makes her an irresistible little companion.
Red

Red is the 2nd chilliest of the bunch, always calm and relaxed. She enjoys playing with toys but prefers to grumble softly instead of howling. Her laid-back personality makes her a soothing companion in any home.
Blue

Blue is full of energy and always bouncing around, ready to play. He loves toys and will happily entertain anyone willing to join in the fun. This lively little guy is sure to keep you laughing and engaged all day.
Pink

Pink loves to snuggle and hang out in the dog pile with her siblings. She’s a true blanket-loving puppy who enjoys relaxing and being cozy. Her calm and affectionate nature makes her a sweet little companion.

Care info
Just general information on the puppies.
Pinworms-Dewormed
Puppies will have completed their first three treatments for pinworms. When they are sent home, they will have one more treatment that will need to be administered on February 13th. Each puppy will be sent home with their final dosage based on their weight.
Heartworms
Cricket is positive for heartworms, which means the puppies will need to be started on heartworm medication. I will have a veterinary report stating that Cricket is positive. It is important that the puppies begin their treatment no later than four months of age (end of March).
Shots
The puppies will have all of their first-round shots, but you will need to follow up for leptospirosis, as this vaccine requires boosters and is started at week 9, and for rabies, which is given at week 12. We will be happy to assist in setting all homes up with TCAP, the most affordable veterinary care option for vaccinations and spay/neuter services.
